For @footlockerphilly x @distortedd_ Had the pleasure of co-producing and appearing in this project 💖 @distortedd_ is a Dominican-American cultural icon and she got to share what #homegrown meant to her, specifically how Philly has become home and Dominican life within that. Her clothing line draws references from childhood and cultura. All of this felt extra special because we filmed in my dads bodega, where I spent most of my childhood…as well as my aunts salon ⚜️

Everything dope nace en el barrio, with the “Mi Barrio” concept I found it important to find the intersections of the socio-economic, hood culture, environment and how it contributes to culture— everything we know that is “fly” is birthed in the hood, so we should never as an industry look down at it but uplift and create proper visibility for it. Following the neighborhood @jnoamusic was raised in— the phenomenal team behind production visually showcased the culture and music unique to her town and her. And y’all, she’s SPECIAL.
